Emergency Workshop on Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome (PRRS)

Based on urgent requests by member countries, an Emergency Workshop on Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome (PRRS) will be organized by the Animal Production and Health Commission for Asia and the Pacific of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO-APHCA) at the FAO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, Bangkok, Thailand, between 24 and 25 September 2007.
The PRRS expert - Dr. Ross Cuttler will conduct this workshop with the main objective to alert the participants (government veterinary officers from Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand and Viet Nam), discuss the current situation on PRRS in the region and draft an emergency contingency and preparedness plan for the disease.
