APHCA's five priority areas (as approved by member countries in October 2006) are:

  • Control of transboundary animal diseases (TADs).
  • Small-scale dairy and meat production and processing.
  • Food and feed safety.
  • Livestock industrialization, poverty reduction and environment.
  • Training on WTO's SPS, Veterinary Public Health and BSE/Prion diseases.
